ANHD’s Affordable Housing Institute (AHI) is partnering with the NYC Accelerator to provide training on the ins and outs of building electrification and financing opportunities, energy efficiency incentives, and sustainability incentives available in NYC to affordable housing developers. Throughout the session, participants will gain an understanding of: • What is needed to get a building electrification ready • What the steps are to electrify a building • Financing opportunities to offset the cost of building electrification • An overview of financing opportunities currently available to affordable housing developers for the purpose of energy efficiency upgrades and sustainability or renovations more broadly. • An overview of all currently available energy efficiency and sustainability incentive programs currently available to affordable housing developers. For example, Clean Heat, Low-Carbon Pathways, Redi, anything related to solar etc. There will be a presentation of information—including a special presentation of the Affordable Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program—, time for Q&A, and an opportunity for participants to connect with other attendees to discuss their own experiences with the electrification process.
